We hosted our first Crafting DIY Workshop Party in our new studio here in Portland, OR.
What an honor it was to host Laura and her friends for a DIY private party in the new studio. These ladies were so much fun! It was a whirlwind of DIY crafting with wreath making and custom pillow stenciling. They brought snacks and wine and ate, drank and crafted the night away.
Heather and Caty were the first to arrive and informed me that they weren’t very crafty. Ha! They proceeded to both make super unique and very VERY crafty wreaths! Check these out!
The wreath making was a hit and Paige, Lael, and Laura also created beautiful, big, full, and wild wreaths from live greens, ribbons,
The stenciled pillows were a little more of a challenge. Even though I used my fool proof freezer paper stencil method we had some bleeding through the stencil. I was so sad! It was a great teaching moment – for ME! I used a new roll of paper which didn’t adhere well, and I was rushed ironing them on. Also, my instructions were brief and I didn’t emphasize enough not to use too much paint! Lessons learned. I had them leave the pillow behind so I could fix them all later.
All in all, it was an amazing night and I am ever so grateful to Laura, Caty, Heather, Paige,
